Consortium

The PUL-AERO consortium is a snapshot of the whole value chain in composites industry, as can be seen in the figure below.

Consortium

The Consortium has been selectively structured and all the required components are present. The beneficiaries exhibit high technological background.

The involved research organizations (TWI and CU) mainly contribute to the generation of new technological knowledge, which is one of the main objectives of PUL-AERO. The industrial beneficiaries provide the necessary input for defining new approaches to be followed, for bringing new knowledge to the shop floor, but also providing a quite diverse and high-tech platform for the implementation and validation of the research results. The co-coordinating beneficiary EXEL is a large industrial organisation with leading-edge technological know-how on manufacturing processes (pultrusion) and related technologies through the supply of high number of products to several industrial sectors. The research expertise is demonstrated from participation in several EU projects during the last 10 years. Teamwork and non-redundancy of individual contributions were key requirements in the consortium composition process
